Sustained missions and multi-month construction sites need more efficient solar harvesting, larger batteries and plenty of power delivery for critical equipment and communications. Moreover these sites often have to be lit at night regardless of weather conditions. Unfortunately, many of today’s solar light towers aren’t built for this mission. That’s why we developed the MX-GreenLantern series of solar generators and solar light towers! This particular configuration, utilizes a PV array mounting ring for effortless solar tracking throughout the day yielding 25-40% extra daily energy harvesting. The array with a light mast behind it, turns with the motion of the sun. Nerds here call it a heliostat, but we just call it awesome. Our design achieves this with a very inexpensive yet robust solution.
This particular MX-GreenLantern-10k configuration includes 4x BB-7780 battery banks for 31kw of battery storage. Assuming a 10 hour light operation at night, that’s enough store energy to power the light tower for 40 hours straight (4 working days) without solar harvesting during abysmal weather periods and even indefinitely in sunny conditions, while producing a net positive solar energy harvest! That is a game changer. Dual 5k IB-5000 inverter blocks for 10kW of power delivery (120V/240V ) can power the most demanding equipment and 8-12 200W panels yield a 1600-2400W solar array. The light mast and ultra-high efficiency LED light fixtures come it two variations: 40,000 lumens with a 14 ft extendable mast, and can be upgraded to 80,000 lumens with a 20ft extendable mast. The mast includes mounting brackets for speakers, cameras or Starlink wifi receivers.
